David Wheeler for Clerk of Court logo that is cool!

There’s a moment in every community when people look around and ask a simple question: Who is willing to step up and serve?

For me, that moment has arrived. I’m running for Clerk of Superior Court in Mitchell County because I believe deeply in two things:

Faith in God. Service to Our People.

This campaign isn’t about politics. It’s about stewardship, integrity, and restoring trust in one of the most important public offices in our county. When folks walk into the Clerk’s office, they aren’t looking for drama or excuses; they’re looking for fairness, respect, and someone who will treat them with dignity.

That is the kind of leadership I intend to bring.

The Clerk’s Office Matters More Than Most People Realize

For many families, the Clerk’s office is the doorstep to the entire justice system. It touches:

  • Estate administration

  • Adoption filings

  • Guardianships

  • Domestic matters

  • Court scheduling

  • Public records

  • Jury management

These aren’t political issues, they’re people’s lives. They’re moments that mark major transitions, with some joyful, some painful, and all important.

The person leading that office should be steady, hard-working, honest, and committed to doing what’s right every single time.

Why I’m Asking for Your Support

Running for office requires time, resources, and a team of people who believe in the mission. When you pledge your support, you’re not just supporting me, you’re supporting a vision for how public service should look in Mitchell County and electing a leader for our county:

1. Transparency and fairness in how the Clerk’s office is run.

Every resident should feel confident that the office is being managed responsibly and ethically.

2. Respect for every person who walks through the door.

No favoritism. No politics. Just service.

3. A commitment to hard work — every single day.

This job requires long hours, patience, and unwavering resolve. I’m ready to give it everything I have.

4. Leadership grounded in faith and service.

Faith isn’t just a word on my sign — it’s my compass. Service isn’t a slogan, it’s a commitment.

How You Can Help Right Now

Pledging your support is simple, but it means everything. Here’s what it does:

  • It shows the community you believe in honest leadership.

  • It strengthens the foundation of a people-focused campaign.

  • It builds momentum heading into this election.

Whether your support comes through signing up, volunteering, sharing the message, or simply making your voice heard, it all matters.

A Campaign Built on Service, Not Politics

This campaign isn’t built on promises to insiders or special interests. It’s built on the belief that Mitchell County deserves the very best, fairness, respect, and a Clerk’s office that serves the people with integrity.

I’m ready to lead with humility, compassion, and courage. And I’m asking you to stand with me.

Pledge your support. Help shape the future of our county. And let’s serve the people of Mitchell County, together.
